Updated 7/11/10: The photo and description have been updated per our feedback, so I've updated my rating to a 5, since this really is a great toy. The copy can still be slightly misleading, so make sure you understand that by "3 different styles", they're merely telling you that you're going to get 1 of 3 random styles. The black/white version shown is 1 of those 3 and is the one we got; I believe the others are a yellow one, and a pink/purple one, but am not positive.
Original review: First, and most importantly, as pointed out by some of the other reviews, despite the *very* misleading copy written by the 3rd party seller, you do not get three Toypedos - you get one. Amazon, as usual, provided phenomenal customer service when this was brought to their attention, and I am satisfied with resolution on my purchase. However, the seller has still not updated the copy, so beware - you are getting 1 Toypedo, in 1 random style, not 3.
All that said, the toy itself is great. You really need to play with it to understand how cool it is, but the ability for kids of any ages to throw this thing underwater is really slick. It does exactly what it says it does, and the kids love it. So 5 stars for fun and durability, 1 star overall until they fix the misleading ad.

My son loves it. He was five and was able to dive comfortably 2 days after getting this toypedo. It is also fun for me to play with him.

My dad bought one of these for us as kids and we've had so much fun with it and developed games for it. We still play with that same one 12 years later and it hasn't broken, faded, or malfunctioned in any way. Now I am buying 2 for my summer camp because it makes any day at the pool 10 times more fun for the kids.

We got this for our boys (10 & 8) who love to play in the swimming pool. We brought it to the pool for the first time last weekend and it was a big hit. It runs under the water really smooth and they played catch forever. Even some other kids (strangers) in the pool got really interested in Toypedo and joined our boys. As we only used it once, I cannot comment on the durability, but it looks pretty sturdy. It feels heavy out of the water, but once it's in the water, you wiil be amazed at the speed (well, it is not dangerously fast) it goes.

This is mainly for your information. The add for this product is misleading. I was under the impression that I would be getting 3 Toypedos b/c the add says "3 different styles". In addition, the same company has another add for "Swimways Toypedo Original - Red Lightning" which appears to be just 1 rocket and this led me to believe they were different products when in fact they are the same thing. Also, I ordered another product from this company: the "Toypedo Football Challenge" and the description says "Includes 4 seven-inch football-themed Toypedos" and mine only came with 2. I appreciate the partial refund that Amazon gave me on that order but what I really wanted was 2 more football toypedos (which, by the way, is the reason I was trying to order 3 MORE rockets in the first place)and now I'm afraid to order from this company. I have had other people look at the add and they all thought that it meant that you would get 3 toypedos.
Also, not that this is significant, the web add states "Glides underwater up to 40 feet!" when, in fact, the package actually states "Glides underwater up to 30 feet!".
The toys themselves are great fun and appear to be very durable.
