5 out of 5 stars Sturdy and durable!   July 22, 2005

This pool is fantastic. I had two other wet set models but had problems with leveling and the sides crashing in when a few kids get rowdy. The metal frame is very strong and holds up well even if your ground has a slight slant. I found it very easy to put up (about an hour). The filter could be better but it does the trick. My son and I are in the pool daily and love it!

I got this pool last summer. Set up was fast and easy with several people. It did take a few hours to level the ground a bit before set up. The pump works great with the skimmer to keep the pool clean. The only maintenance is keeping the chemicals up and changing the filter on a regular basis. My kids (7, 10, 14) have a blast in this pool. Just remember to run the pump about 8 hours a day or the electric bill may be a shock.

5 out of 5 stars Do the prep work to avoid problems   July 5, 2009

We bought this pool for our family of 5 (including 3 boys 10, 6 and 2). We absolutely love this pool. There is plenty of room for several people to swim and cool off in the hot sun.

I strongly recommend that you make sure that the ground is level. If it is not level, pay the money to have a professional do it. We put this pool up on what we thought was fairly level ground only to find that there was a 9 inch difference in elevation. We had to drain the pool and start over to avoid major colapse. We hired a guy with a bobcat to come in and level the pool area and now it is great. However, we wasted a lot of time and money. Prepare the ground before even thinking about assembling the pool.

We also recommend using more than the drop cloth if you have very rocky soil. Without extra cushion our pool bottom would be unbearable to walk on and probably would damage the liner.

This pool is a nice size, perfect for my husband and I. I have enjoyed relaxing in it. It also came with everything I needed to take care of it, except the chemicals. It was easy to set up which was a plus.

This is our third summer with this pool. It has been well worth the money. It is used by our family of 6, mostly adults, (4 "kids" now 15,18,22,24)plus friends. It takes 2 people about an hour (if that) to set up which I don't mind. An hour of work for a summer of fun is not bad at all. It has been a great pool, no leaks or any other defects. I have been in it with 6 people at a time, some standing and some on floaties, and did not feel too crowded. It has held up to plenty of splashing, horseplay and even held up to a drunk neighbor deciding to do a cannonball at 3 in the morning! Just yesterday an 18,19,22 & 27 year old were playing volleyball in it for hours and had a blast.

The ladder has been very sturdy. People weighing between 120 - 250+ have used it for going on 3 years now with no problems, cracks, breaks or bends. This ladder has also sat outside every winter since we've had it.

To me this pool is much better than the blow up ring type pools, which in my opinion the blow up kind have wasted space. Plus it's easier to clean when you take it down for the winter. Once the water is out it is still standing upright unlike the blow up kind. It's also been fine on slightly unlevel ground, a difference of about 4 inches from one side to the other. The cover is a little difficult for me to put on by myself, but I rarely use it anyway. The only other thing I could say I would like better is maybe a little bigger pool filter, but that's also not a huge issue for me. Overall I still give this pool 5 stars.
