So far this pool has been great, we had an Easy Set before which was fun, but this is MUCH better! The filtering system is much better (yes it could be some better, but come on, it's less than $1,000) and it's so much easier to clean the walls & floor.
Would I buy it again? YOU BET!!!
AWESOME pool, but get the largest filterJune 16, 2010 K. Thomson(utah) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
We have had this pool now for 3 years. We ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!! It is very easy to set up and easy to take down. I am not a huge fan of Intex's filters as we have had to have it replaced once, but I don't know what to compare it to either. If you get this pool I can not stress enough to make sure you get the largest filter that they make. It will make your life much easier! the filter is quirky and sometimes it is hard to get it going, but once you get it going it really pushes the water and gets things clear. also Make sure you get the salt chlorinator system. It is absolutely the best thing ever and can't imagine not having it now! WE would always get a mucky pool until we got the chlorinator. We have had metal frame or ultra frame pools for the past 7 years and the ultra frame is by far the best and very durable. The trick to maintianing this pool and having clear sparkling water and to make sure your cholorinator doesn't clog with deposits is to MAKE SURE you are keeping the water ph levels in check I buy I giant bucket of acid to keep the ph where it needs to be. Our water typically has very high ph, because of this the chlorine is not effective and I get calcium build up on the chlorinator and it cloggs, also I would get alge and couldn't figure out why. since buying the correct ph decreaser (by the bucket) and making sure my ph levels are good, my pool no longer gets alge and the chlorinator does not clogg as fast. The chlorinator still needs to be cleans out periodically, but nothing like before and the pool stays crystal clear since the chlorine is more effective in well balanced ph water. If you keep the water where it needs to be you will LOVE this pool. for the price you can't beat the fun........
Intex 18' diameter circular saltwater poolJuly 5, 2010 W. Cosgrove Awesome pool. No need to hesitate. Saltwater system is fabulous and easy to use and maintain. Our son has very sensitive skin and the water doesn't effect him at all. The pool is very easy to set up. Make sure your area is as perfectly flat as you can get it. The pool is circular not rectangular with an 18' diameter.
wonderful pool!!!July 18, 2010 j. griffin We have had this pool up for a week now and the grandkids and all love it. It is easy to maintain and the salt-water system is the best. No more goggles for the kids and your skin feels so soft after swimming. This is the first pool we have had and I am sure it will last many summers to come!

We live in Florida and have had this pool in use for four months. We really enjoy it and use it daily. It took about two hours to set up on a concrete pad we had poured for it. The instructions for setting up and operating the pool were clear and correct. It looks very nice and the quality seems excellent for the price. The chlorine generator/salt-water system works perfectly. Except for the initial salt and a few adjustments to keep the PH balanced, we have done nothing to the water which is sparkling clear. The water feels nice on the skin and there is no chlorine smell. The water has a barely noticeable salt taste, but swimming underwater with eyes open causes no irritation or redness. The included skimmer and vacuum system both work very well. The volleyball net that comes with the pool is very well made and is a nice addition to the pool, especially for our grandkids. The pump, which was very quiet initially, has gotten louder, but it still works fine and the noise is not really loud enough to be an issue. This may be unique to our particular pump, but is mentioned because it is the only complaint we have had with any of it so far. We plan to take it down when the water gets too cool to enjoy. This may sound like a lot of work, but it is a clever system that is easy to assemble. Winterizing a permanent pool and getting it ready again for the next swimming season is a fair amount of work and chemical expense also. We have had above and in-ground pools previously and this seems like a good idea. If there are storage or reassembly problems, I will update this review next year.
