My son who is six has Autism and we needed a vest for him when he swims. He loves to swim and we used it quite a bit last summer. The only con for this vest is that after being in the pool for awhile it had a tendency to loosen in the pool. I found myself tightening the straps so the vest wouldn't restrict his neck movement. After frequent uses it began to rip where the straps attached as well. I would recommend this vest to any child of special needs.

My 6 year old grandson loves this swimmer's aid. We like too for it is easy to get on him and very well made.

There are not enough good things to say about this vest. I don't know if I would consider it a "life" vest but as a swimming aid it can't be beat. It fits very comfortably with out riding up around the neck area. My son started swimming across the pool almost immediately after putting it on. Its a great product that seems to be holding up well.
Nice, but hard between the legs and under the armsJuly 20, 2010 Suzanne Mannion(Baltimore, MD USA) We got this vest for our 4 y/o daughter. It seems very well made, and fits well. However, the straps under the arms rub badly no matter what we do (I would certainly never have her wearing it like in the picture without a shirt). It seems that all floatation devices with the between-the-leg straps are wedgies waiting to happen, but this strap has no covering, and little bend, so caused actual rub "hot spots" between her legs. Eventually, we switched her to a suit with floats around her abdomen and she is much more comfortable.
