5 out of 5 stars Not a toy   October 9, 2009

This is a nice swimming pool fountain. We have had other fountains from the same manufactor. They are
all the same on the working parts but this one is heavier plastic on the decorative pieces. Very nice
and makes a pretty spray. Much more attractive then the picture.

4 out of 5 stars Lovely Pool Fountain takes some tweaking to get right!   October 17, 2007

First of all, this is not a TOY, as categorized by Amazon. This is a pool fountain which attaches to a "jet" or return valve in your inground pool. My biggest complaint is with the plastic hose clamps that came with the product, meant to clamp the flexible hose onto the base of the fountain head and onto your selected pool jet. One worked fine, and the other clamp just would not tighten. I had to go to the hardware store and buy a metal hose clamp to attach to the bottom of the fountain head. It worked beautifully, but I wonder about the long-term rust factor. So far so good. Once that was done, the hook-up wasn't too hard. I had to block off all the other jets except one (with plugs that were included with the kit) in order to get the height I wanted out of the fountain. Altogether an inexpensive way to enjoy a water feature in your pool after swimming season is over. (You wouldn't want to use this fountain during swimming season because of the restricted jets and the long flexible tube lurking under the water.) Bottom line: I like this fountain.
